New class begins Basic Military Training

The California State Guard (State Defense Force) recently started Basic Military training for a new class of recruits.

Joint Training Command is conducting basic training for over 40 new Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen that have recently enlisted in the California State Guard. This training includes lessons in basic military topics, drill and ceremony, and discussions on how to navigate the many opportunities within the CSG.
This course is conducted over several months with both online and in-person weekend instruction at Camp San Luis Obispo before these new members graduate and are sent to their home unit.
Anyone interested in joining the CSG can find more information on its website.
