Marine Takes Command of Ohio Military Reserve

The Ohio Military Reserve (State Defense Force) was recently appointed a new commander. Colonel Deano McNeil was named Brigade Commander of the Ohio Military Reserve. Colonel McNeil served in the United States Marine Corps before joining the Ohio Military Reserve following the Terror attacks of Sept 11, 2001.

Congratulations to COL (OH) Deano McNeil, named Brigade Commander of The Ohio Military Reserve effective January. A Change of Command Ceremony will be announced in the near future. COL McNeil has had a long and distinguished military career, beginning with the U.S. Marine Corps, and joined OHMR after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. An accomplished law enforcement professional, COL McNeil has held numerous leadership positions with OHMR and OHSDF. Please welcome our new BDE CDR, COL. McNeil, who takes over from the very distinguished acting commander, LTC (OH) James Nowak. HOOAH!
