The Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) 1st Brigade recently held a change of command ceremony but this one was a unique. Lieutenant Colonel James Donaghue transferred command of the 4th Battalion to Lieutenant Colonel Troy Neasbitt while rapelling down the rappel tower. Both commanders are Prior Service and have served in Combat with the 1st Cavalry Division.
