In their most recent training drill, troops from the Ohio Military Reserve (State Defense Force) were tasked with overcoming obstacles in a confidence course. These courses are designed to push team development as well as challenge each soldier physically.
The Ohio Military Reserve assist their National Guard in a multitude of missions from medical, public affairs, to POD (Point Of Distribution) as well as many other missions. The POD Mission especially requires a great deal of physical exertion as troops are tasked with handing out thousands of tons of supplies to the citizens of Ohio during emergencies. It also requires them to quickly design a system to provide as many supplies to as many citizens in the shortest amount of time to avoid a backlog of traffic.
1BN recently rallied for a Combined Unit Training Assembly that included a most challenging confidence course. OHMR’s Tip of the Spear Soldiers excelled at decision making and the physical challenges that the course provided. The troops used TLP to achieve the mission and overcome the obstacles. Great work 1BN.If achieving challenging goals is your thing, contact OHMR recruiting at Sarah.Reeseman@ohmr.ohio.gov
