A few months ago The Mississippi State Guard held their Annual Training (AT). This years AT featured a large scale exercise that covered numerous scenarios. Leadership examined how well the troops responded to each scenario, measured how the units worked together, and determined which skills need improvement. The intent of this years AT & field exercises was to ensure that all units of The Mississippi State Guard can work seamlessly together as a singular force.
Following the conclusion of Annual Training, The State Guard plans to implement improvements from all the data they gained during the exercises. Troops will continue to develop their skillsets during their monthly consolidated drills, and continue to train in disaster response.
