Last month, New York saw some serious flooding spread throughout eight counties. In response the Governor declared a state of emergency and activated nearly four hundred troops. The troops compromised the four branches of New York Military forces, NY Army National Guard, Air National Guard, New York Guard and Naval Militia.
As of mid June, numerous New York Guard soldiers are still on State Active Duty assisting the National Guard in operations. Here are the media sources relating to the emergency:
