The Georgia State Defense Force recently formed a new unit to fulfill a regularly requested mission from the National Guard. The National Guard routinely has their units undergo close combat training especially those deploying to combat zones, they repeatedly look to the Georgia State Defense Force to provide the troops to act as the opposing force during their training missions. Due to the high need of these missions, the Georgia State Defense Force formed a ‘Opposing Forces’ unit to ensure the National Guard has troops they can utilize to fulfill their training needs.
