The New York Guard (State Defense Force) recently activated and deployed nine soldiers to augment the New York National Guard during a winter storm that affected the Buffalo area. Here is the New York National Guard news exerpt:
Soldiers of New York’s State Defense Force, the New York Guard, deployed 9 soldiers to Buffalo to assist the National Guard. Four soldiers trained members of the Army National Guard on proper use of chainsaws, three soldiers assisted in the Joint Operations Center and one was assigned as Public Affairs support.
