The Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) and Texas National Guard have been working side by side in multiple capacities in an effort to stem the tide of the Coronavirus. The missions range from assisting medical agencies, handling supply distribution, to engineering.

National Guard Soldiers of the 386th Forward Support Company, Joint Task Force 176 perform a sustainment mission in Corpus Christi, Texas, in support of the COVID-19 pandemic response. This Joint Task Force incorporates service members from all components of TMD.
