The Georgia Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Thomas M. Carden Jr., as well as the troops from the 3rd Battalion, 121st Infantry Regiment of the Georgia Army National Guard recently thanked the Georgia State Defense Force for their work during the COVID 19 response mission. The Georgia State Defense Force has been working side by side with Georgia Army National Guard troops assisting in a variety of missions from logistics, Point of Distribution, to decontamination.
Here are some photos of Georgia National Guard and State Defense Force troops:
Throughout this mission, the Georgia State Defense Force has been an essential part of Pathfinder success. Their efforts have, without a doubt, increased our ability to flatten the curve. They are seen here helping SPC Burges, SPC Carroll, and SPC Farr complete their decontamination mission at the Phoenix at Lake Lanier. Thank you GASDF! We appreciate everything you’ve been doing!

Today provided Command Sergeant Major Marchert and I a great opportunity to see our joint team in action. We visited #COVID19 Specimen Point of Collection locations in Moultrie and Albany. While in Albany we spent some time with our Medical Support Team “The COVENGERS” at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. We also saw some outstanding members of our Georgia State Defense Force who are working hard at the Second Harvest Food Bank in Thomasville. In each case facility staff and community leaders had high praise for the work being done to save lives and alleviate suffering. Stay focused and keep up the amazing work! #SharedPurpose#SharedValues#SharedVictory#GeorgiaStrong
