Troops from the 40th Support Detachment of the California underwent firefighting training at Camp Roberts in California. Once certified in Fire Hand Crew Type II Training they will deploy to Northern California to combat the wild land fires.
Members of the 40th Support Detachment (MAJ Derkum, SSG Slaven, SPC Sanchez, SPC Quintanilha and SPC Estangue) have participated in the Fire Hand Crew Type II Training hosted by CAL FIRE at Camp Roberts in preparation for the Northern California wildfires.
