Servicemembers the 40th Support Detachment of the California State Guard (State Defense Force) recently graduated from Firefighter training and have been fully activated to respond to the wildfires that have been devastating California. State Guard troops have joined the California National Guard within Task Force Rattlesnake to commence firefighting operations.
Service Members of the 40th Support Detachment from JFTB Los Alamitos have been activated to support the wildfires in Northern California. Specialist (CA) Brian Cole (Bravo Co) and SPC (CA) James Parker (Alpha Co) have been embedded with the California National Guard Task Force Rattlesnake in support of CAL FIRE operations.
