When the power goes out the Alaska SDF has you covered

During statewide emergencies the Alaska State Defense Force has the tools and training to make sure the heat and electricity keeps flowing.


SFC Steven Branham explaining what we are doing with the ducting for the heaters that will be setup in the tents, and carbon monoxide safety procedures. When all conventional systems (electricity, water, communications) fail – as occurred during the 1914 Katmai eruption – it is wise to have independent backup systems and safety procedures.
