The Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) was recently invited to attend the Texas Empowering Women Seminar, hosted by the Texas Adjutant General, Major General Tracy Norris.

 

The Texas Adjutant General, Major General Tracy Norris recently hosted the Texas Empowering Women Seminar. Texas State Guard service members invited to participate in the conference were 1LT Zelda Botha, 1LT Estella Esteban, 1LT Katherines Martinez, 1LT Sonya Martinez, and 1LT Jeannene Tatum. Major General Robert Bodisch, Commanding General, TXSG, and Colonel Darren Fitz Gerald, Chief of Staff, TXSG are also photographed.
“First, I was honored to attend the first Texas Women Empowerment Training. I want to thank you for this great honor and opportunity. The opportunity to meet the TAG was excellent; sitting down with the Chief of Staff and General Bodisch are all memories I will always treasure. It was a delight to be there and to understand the importance of having female leaders.
What I got out of the seminar was: to inspire Women to dream Beyond what they thought possible – empowering Young Women with the tools to get to that next level. And to ensure women know that they have the right to a positive experience in the military. We listened to the experiences of some of the most powerful and influential females in the military while connecting with other like-minded women. I enjoyed it. The talent and energy amongst the ladies are encouraging.”
