The Connecticut Foot Guard (State Defense Force) recently participated in a July 4th Parade that included Governor Ned Lamont, Senator Richard Blumenthal, and Congressman Joe Courtney.
Yesterday, a small group of volunteers from The First Company Governor’s Foot Guard celebrated our Nation’s 245th Birthday by participating in our first parade since 2019, at the 58th Annual 4th of July Parade in Columbia, CT.We had the pleasure of marching the 1.1 Mile route with 10 other groups, including other bands and the Fire Department.Also, Governor Ned Lamont, Senator Richard Blumenthal, and Congressman Joe Courtney came out to march with all of us.We are all very much looking forward to an eventful parade season, and getting back to normal.
