Operations Lone Star, the largest humanitarian mission in the state of Texas, has concluded their 2021 mission. The Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) participated in the operation with private, local and state agencies.
The Texas State Guard has teamed with state and local partners for more than 22 years to support Operation Lone Star, the nation’s largest health and humanitarian effort. Texas Guardsmen are working alongside state and county health and human service agencies, local service groups, and volunteers to provide vital health services in the Rio Grande Valley, allowing access to medical care normally unavailable in the rural area
