The Second Company of the Governor’s Foot Guard (State Defense Force) recently completed their annual training which consisted of Range Safety Procedures, First Aid, Basic Radio Operations & weapons familiarization on the M4 carbine by the Department of Homeland Security.
The end of this weekend wraps up a very successful Annual Training year for 2nd Co. GFG. This years training courses consisted of a curriculum that we believe will carry us into the future as a unit to better our education and our ongoing dedication of helping the CTMD. This years courses consisted of very important material such as Basic Radio Operations and useage, Range First Aid and Safety Procedures, Sig Sauer m17 Pistol training, Leadership (thanks CPT. Mazzara) Color Guard Training, Unit Public Affairs, as well as others. We also previously had a great training on Military Funeral honors. We also would like to thank the US Dept of Homeland Security for providing full training (including weapons) on their M4 Carbine Familiarization course.
