The Second Company of the Governors Foot Guard recently spent their drill weekend training for one of their tasked missions, emergency hospital deployment. During a statewide emergency the Foot Guard has the capability to quickly setup and deploy an emergency hospital. They also had the opportunity the celebrate their sister company’s 250th Anniversary.
2nd Co. GFG had a very busy and productive week setting up a mobile field hospital medical emergency tent for the Durham Fair from the New England Disaster Training Center (NEDTC). We appreciated the joint excellent teamwork alongside 1st GFG. and Horse Guard Units during this excellent undertaking of helping serve the community. Today we also had the pleasure of commemorating and joining 1ST Co. GFG in Hartford with ceremonies marking the Two Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the founding of their command and Rochambeau Day observances.
