GA SDF train on natural disaster response and SAR during AT

The Georgia State Defense Force recently held their yearly Annual Training.  Among the training that was held was a focus on Search & Rescue and chainsaw training for debris removal to ensure roadways are clear during natural disasters.

The Georgia State Defense Force (GSDF) 5th Brigade holds annual training, Chattahoochee Bend State Park, near Newnan, Ga., Oct. 1-3, 2021.
Using trees that were downed by previous storms, Soldiers practiced clearing debris during a simulated natural disaster exercise. Other Soldiers conducted a simulated search and rescue exercise.
Several GDSF units hold annual trainings. During annual trainings, Soldiers focus on skills and tasks that help them serve the citizens of Georgia.
