The Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) recently celebrated its 80th Birthday. The State Guard was first activated in World War I, but it wasn’t until its reactivation in World War 2 that it continuously served Texas.

The Texas State Guard celebrated our 80th Birthday recently by holding the 80th Birthday Gala at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin. It was a wonderful night celebrating the history of the Texas State Guard.
