Brig. Gen. Monie Ulis, the commander of Task Force Operation Lone Star, provided a progress update on the status of Operation Lone Star. Operation Lone Star is a Joint Task Force mission composed of the Texas Army National Guard, Air National Guard, State Guard (State Defense Force) and civil & law enforcement agencies who’s mission is to deny criminal organizations the ability to illegally move drugs and human trafficking into Texas.
Here’s an Operation Lone Star (OLS) update from Brig. Gen. Monie Ulis, the Texas Guard’s border commander.Since March, the Texas Military Department has been supporting OLS, a state mission ordered by Office of the Governor Greg Abbott. Texas National Guard and Texas State Guard personnel continue to surge to the Texas-Mexico border and adjust tactics as conditions change alongside Texas Department of Public Safety partners.
