The 3rd DET (Detachment), 10th Area Command of the New York Guard (State Defense Force) recently were trained by instructors from the 102 DET on road surveying and the use of transit equipment. The New York Guard is often activated and utilized during hazardous weather conditions to clear road obstacles and debris.
