Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) recently spent their January Drill performing a Field Training Exercise (FTX) testing out their land navigation, radio communication skills. During the FTX a heavy thunderstorm drenched the environment but the troops fulfilled their motto “Ad Omnia Parati” (Ready for Anything!) and continued their exercise.
During a three-day field training exercise, members of 1st Battalion, 2nd Brigade, Texas State Guard, honed their skills in land navigation, radio communication and basic tasks needed to operate in a field environment at Brazos Bend State Park, Needville, Texas, 7-9 January, 2022. Although heavy thunderstorms came through, troops adapted, completed all training assignments, during the course of which they cleared brush and removed fallen limbs to improve accessibility for those who follow, fulfilling the 2nd Brigade motto: “Ad Omnia Parati” (Ready for Anything!) Well done!
