Bravo Company from the California State Guard’s (State Defense Force) 40th Support Detachment recently assisted the California Army National Guards 40th Infantry Division during their Inactive Duty Training (IDT). A IDT is a requirement of a reserve member of the United States Military of one weekend a month to perform training, while not on EAD (Extended Active Duty) or an AD (Active Duty) tour.
Bravo Company held a Civil Military Operations Center (CMOC) exercise, which assists in coordinating civil-military operations in an operation zone. It serves as a meeting location for military and civil agencies to help coordinate in humanitarian relief, reconstruction projects and stabilization.
