During the Texas State Guard’s (State Defense Force) 1st Brigade Annual Training, a local lawmaker, Councilman Alan Nix from Stephenville City, visited and spoke with the troops as they trained and certified in their Military Occupation Specialties (MOS).
Stephenville City Councilman Alan Nix, representing Place 6, visited with Texas State Guard (TXSG) service members during Annual Training at Melody Mountain Ranch observing Land Navigation and a Search and Recovery exercise. “I had the opportunity and privilege to go on some training exercises with the Texas State Guard,” Councilman Nix said. “I am amazed and humbled at how efficiently well trained they are, how they take care of each other, and the different scenarios they encounter in their various exercises.
