Michigan Defense Force (State Defense Force) troops of the 1/24TH Special Troops Brigade recently spent their drill weekend conducting a long ruck march around the entire Fort Custer Training Center. State Defense Forces hold their troops to the same training standards as the Army National Guard & Air National Guard, so as to ensure they are prepared and ready for any mission assigned to them.
