Staff Sergeant Jamie Reyes of the Georgia State Defense Force OPFOR Battalion was recently awarded the Georgia Meritorious Service Medal for his actions on February 16th of this year. With risk to his own life SSG Reyes provided immediate first aid and life saving measures to an individual who was inflicted with multiple gun shots.
On 09 April 2022, LTC V. Timchenko, OPFOR Battalion Commander, presented the Georgia Meritorious Service Medal to SSG Jamie Reyes, Training NCO, C Company, OPFOR Battalion, for performing an exceptionally meritorious act.On 16 FEB 2022 at risk to his own life, SSG Reyes rendered immediate and valuable assistance to a person who had been shot multiple times. His prompt assistance with these life-threatening injuries was instrumental in preserving the person’s life.SSG Jamie Reyes’ unselfish act and ability to remain calm and professional throughout the ordeal exemplifies the best in our Soldiers.HOOAH SSG Reyes!
