A few days ago a number of new recruits took the oath to join up to serve their State & their Country through the Tennessee State Guard. The next stage in their journey is Basic Training unless the new recruits served in the U.S. Military which fulfills that obligation. Only Non-Prior Service Recruits are required to attend Initial Entry Training (Basic Training) in the State Defense Forces. Once the recruits complete IET they will then head over to their Home Units and stand ready to assist the citizens of Tennessee.
New Tennessee Guardsmen take their Oaths.
