Troops from the The California National Guard, State Guard (State Defense Force) worked alongside CALFIRE recently during their annual wildland fire fighting training. The training focused on improving interoperability between the different agencies & military branches.
The California State Guard has for years been working with the National Guard & CALFIRE fighting wildfires throughout the state. They have been providing hundreds of troops to assist in all manner of wildfire operations from logistics support to in the field fire fighting.
We thank all these troops, who risk their life and answered the call to duty, to ensure fires dont endanger the lives of Californians.
