The New York Guard (State Defense Force) recently held their monthly InActive Reserve Training Drill. This month they focused on logistical operations, budgeting and operational protocols. These are vital skills that are needed as the New York Guard often assists and augments the National Guard command centers during statewide emergencies.

Training remains a critical function of every New York Guard drill.At the NYG HQ drill held on May 7, 2022, Major Manuelito Puzalan, Deputy, G4 provided a training brief on logistics, budgeting, and operational protocols for service members.
Understanding accounting codes, procurement procedures and recognizing revenue may not always be foremost in the minds of soldiers but without these important function’s soldiers would be without the required material to meet their overall mission.
