The Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) Commanding General, Brigadier General Anthony Woods, recently announced that Command Sergeant Major Harlan Thompson will now serve as the new Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Texas State Guard. With over 18 years of experience he will now pass down his knowledge and experience to his fellow troops.
Attention All Texas State Guard Service Members:The Acting Commanding General announces that CSM Harlan Thompson has been selected to serve as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Texas State Guard. CSM Thompson has served for more than 18 years in the Texas State Guard in a combination of positions, most recently as the Senior Advisor and Trainer in the Headquarters, T7. Also prior to the start of their weekend training, the 6th Brigade of the Texas State Guard held a unique promotion ceremony for one of their troops. PVT 2 Justin Harvey was recently promoted to Private First Class during an underwater promotion ceremony.
Before training commenced on the morning of 11 JUNE 2022, the Texas State Guard Dive Program conducted an Underwater Promotion Ceremony to pin PV2 Justin Harvey from 6th Brigade, Texas State Guard, 2nd Battalion, C Company, to Private First Class.
