The 3rd Brigade of the Texas State Guard recently held their monthly drill where they had their troops undergo a 5 Mile Ruck march. On top of the long and challenging march the troops developed their Land Navigation skills as well as their Security qualifications.
The Texas State Guard is assigned multiple missions by the Adjutant General of Texas (Senior National Guard commander), one of those missions is Shelter management. Texas State Guard troops have on multiple missions setup shelters, managed logistics, and ensured security for all evacuees during Hurricanes, and other natural disasters.
