Joint Task Force Rattlesnake showcases their equipment and maneuvers to Cal Guard’s Nigerian State Partnership Program colleagues.Members from the Nigerian Ministry of the Interior, Minister of Defense, Nigeria Security & Civil Services and Nigeria Federal Fire Service met with JTFR troops and CAL FIRE leaders during a visit to the Sacramento area, June 15, 2022. The program promotes the exchange of professional prowess and strengthens international ties around the world.
Last week we were honored to be invited by the California National Guard to address a group of Nigerian officials and share what we do to keep California safe, the many ways that we’re preparing for heightened fire activity, and the importance of commitment and working together for California and beyond. This week-long event gave CAL FIRE representatives an opportunity to provide information about its Aviation Program, our Camps and Crews Programs, and fuels reduction and wildfire mitigation work that crews have completed throughout the state. As one of the world’s largest wildland fire departments, the work we do is noticed around the globe. We look forward to many more conversations with these new partners.
