Georgia State Defense Force Begin Their Annual Training Training with Black Hawks

The Georgia State Defense Force began their Annual Training this week, and they kicked it off training with the 1st Battalion 171st Aviation Regiment General Support Aviation Battalion of the Georgia Army National Guard. The troops trained onboarding and off-loading on three UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopters.

The Georgia State Defense Force routinely trains with the Georgia Army National Guard in helicopter exercises to familiarize troops with rapid deployment and mass casualty triage & evacuation. In the last decade the Georgia State Defense Force has repeatedly been activated to assist and support the Georgia Army National Guard during statewide emergencies like Hurricane Maria and Irma.
