The Mississippi State Guard (State Defense Force) recently held their 2022 Annual Training. The training included casualty extraction, setting up emergency field tents, medical and emergency communication classes. This type of training is heavily utilized during a state emergency such as a hurricane, tornado, or other severe weather.
Every State Defense Force undergoes Annual Training each year which has every unit of the Defense Force come together for a week to undergo extensive training in the missions they’ve been assigned by the Governor and Adjutant General of the State. The soldiers do not get paid during this week, they volunteer their time to ensure they are trained and ready to respond when their State and Country calls on them to complete their mission.
The Mississippi State Guard conducted Annual Training recently. Many different training scenarios and dynamic situations taught soldiers how to respond to various emergencies they may encounter in a deployment. The soldiers performed outstandingly.
