Every year The Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) conducts a Holiday Toy Drive for Children in Need. Last year they accomplished an astonishing goal of collecting and distributing 100,000 toys. This year they challenged themselves to another astonishing goal, this time 200,000 toys.
Since November, Texas State Guard soldiers have been in the field donating their off duty time to collect toys for this monumental goal. Even Captain America was spotted with soldiers at The Walmart in Caldwell, Texas helping in the effort.
Come join Our Young Heroes Of The Guard Christmas Toy Roundup. They will be here today and tomorrow, Sat Dec 10th and Sun Dec 11th12pm-4pm weather promitted. Toys will be given to the children at Baylor Scott & White, Texas Children’s Hospital and Children’s Memorial Hermann.
Members of The 1st Brigade recently assisted at a charity ball in Dallas, Texas. Troops assisted with registering guests, event access and accepting donations at the event. At the end of the event, the charity ball was an astonishing success as it collected thousands upon thousands of toys for at-risk Children.
As part of the TXSG toy drive and community service event, 1st Brigade service members provided support for the Dallas Margarita Society, hosting a charity ball, banding attendees, acquiring invitations, and providing a safe environment for guests in partnership with local police, November 19, 2022, Dallas, TX. Toys and donations were collected for at-risk children of the Dallas-Fort Worth and local community charities to be provided gifts for Christmas and throughout the year. (Photos by Cpt.
