The Connecticut Foot Guard (State Defense Force) Initial Entry Training (Basic Training) Fall Class recently spent their consolidated drill going over Drill & Ceremony. The recruits worked with The Brown Bess Musket, the legendary firearm that won The American Revolution. The Foot Guard works often with this weapon during their parades and as well as their Drill & Ceremony competitions.
As the recruits were being graded on their Drill & Ceremony performance, old Mr. Claus decided to visit and spend time with the soldiers families.
As our Fall Recruit class finished training towards becoming graduates, the First Company Governor’s Foot Guard celebrated the holidays with a visit from the Jolly Old Man himself
