A new class of soldiers just graduated from The Texas State Guard Basic Training. The Texas State Guard requires all non-prior service members, those who never served in The US Military, to undergo Basic Orientation Training. The training is composed of Basic Soldiering Skills and is designed to reflect the basic training conditions of the United States Military. The Recruits learn the core fundamentals of how the military operates from Chain of Command, Physical Training to Drill & Ceremony, so when they are activated and work side by side with National Guard soldiers they can operate as any other soldier in the unit. After graduation the troops will return to their home units to continue training and stand ready for when called.
Congratulationsto the newest Texas State Guard service members who recently completed their Basic Orientation Training at Camp Swift. These newly trained service members will be an asset to our organization. For those of you who are seasoned Texas State Guard service members, be sure to help our newest members and lead them to success. #Duty #Honor #Texas #TXSG
