Veterans Day 2024

Honoring Our Veterans: Recognizing the Brave Service of All Who Serve

On this Veterans Day, we at StateDefenseForce.com wish to recognize and honor the Veterans who have proudly served our nation. This tribute extends to all who have worn the uniform, including those in Active Duty forces, the National Guard, the U.S. Military Reserve, and State Defense Forces. These dedicated men and women have shown unwavering commitment to defending the freedoms and security that form the foundation of our society. Each veteran, whether they served on the frontlines overseas or safeguarded our communities here at home, deserves our utmost respect and gratitude.

Today, service members across branches remain steadfast in protecting our nation. From the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Coast Guard to the National Guard, Reserve Forces, and State Defense Forces, each plays a crucial role in safeguarding our homeland.

State Defense Forces serve their states and country with unwavering dedication, standing ready to answer the call to active duty whenever needed. In addition to supporting specific missions—like the Texas State Guard’s deployment of hundreds of troops to secure the Texas-Mexico border alongside the National Guard, the New York Guard’s role in the Asylum Relief Support Mission, and the South Carolina State Guard’s perimeter security work for state correctional facilities—every State Defense Force provides vital support during statewide emergencies. These citizen soldiers are on the front lines during hurricanes, tornadoes, extreme weather, and other crises, often facing hazardous conditions to protect and assist their communities. They also augment and support the National Guard in a range of homeland defense missions, from cyber defense missions to mobilization and demobilization of Army & Air National Guard units. We honor these selfless heroes who stand prepared to defend and serve, upholding the security and resilience of our nation.
