Over the weekend and throughout Monday, July 13, StateDefenseForce.com underwent a complete major redesign of our website. Several months ago, we asked our members and readers to vote on the type of design they preferred. Using that valuable feedback, we developed a new website that comes as close as possible to the designs our community selected.

We hope you enjoy the new look and improved experience. The redesigned StateDefenseForce.com offers a cleaner and more modern appearance, significantly faster page-loading times, improved website stability, stronger security, and easier access to the latest State Defense Force news, information, podcasts, publications, and resources.

GoStateGuard.com Nears Completion

We are also closing in on the completion of GoStateGuard.com, our new State Defense Force recruiting referral and public-information website.

For those unfamiliar with the project, GoStateGuard.com will be a website designed to provide prospective applicants with a clear and accessible introduction to State Defense Forces / State Guards. The website will explain their history, missions, chain of command, reasons for their creation, and the states that currently maintain an active State Defense Force.

Visitors will also be able to learn whether their local State Defense Force offers paid State Active Duty when activated, compensation for annual training or weekend drills, educational opportunities, and other potential benefits. Because policies and benefits may differ considerably from one state to another, we want to provide prospective applicants with the most accurate and useful information possible.

We are currently holding a community poll to help us complete this important resource. Your responses will help us give prospective applicants better information before GoStateGuard.com directs them to the official recruiting website for their state’s State Defense Force.
