Over the weekend of March 16-17, 2024, in Taylor, Texas, the Texas State Guard’s 6th Brigade demonstrated the rigorous standards and preparedness that form the backbone of their operational readiness. Soldiers from the 3rd Battalion, alongside colleagues from the T-6 Shop (Communications), engaged in a comprehensive drill designed to sharpen their skills ahead of the April 2024 Annual Training. This session included targeted classroom training on Operations, Safety, and Communications, pivotal areas that ensure the brigade’s effectiveness in fulfilling their duties. The meticulous efforts of these soldiers, captured by CPL Jason Hunter, PAO of the 6th Brigade, highlight the brigade’s commitment to maintaining a state of readiness for any situation.
A critical component of the weekend’s activities was the thorough inspection of the soldiers’ A and B Bags, a process vital for ensuring that all personnel are fully equipped and ready for deployment. This inspection guarantees that each soldier has the necessary gear, reflecting the Texas State Guard’s overarching mission to be ready at a moment’s notice for any emergency or task.
