NY Guard Troops Graduate from Basic Training

The New York Guard (State Defense Force) recently graduated a new class of soldiers from their Initial Entry Training (IET).  They will now return to their units and be available to participate in active missions.

This is where it all begins, Initial Entry Training (IET). The training our Soldiers receive here prepares them for Military Activation within New York State. These Soldiers have trained at their local Area Commands three times a month over the past year before attending Annual Training at Camp Smith, which was from September 12th to the 18th 2021.
