The Texas National Guard & State Guard (State Defense Force) recently held an open house for members of The Texas House of Representatives and Senate. The event allowed legislators the chance to learn about the missions of The State Guard. The legislators received briefings covering each mission and were able to view & inspect the equipment the soldiers used during such missions.
These types of missions are important as they provide exposure and information to the members of The Texas Legislature, who manage the yearly budget of The Texas Military Forces.
The Texas Military Department held an open house for members of the Texas Legislature, Feb. 3, 2023, at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Various components of the TMD, including the Texas State Guard, showcased equipment and capabilities and gave short briefings and their weapons and mission capacities.
