This month marks two years since the First Company, along with the other state militia units, began training for a new mission: make ready a set of mobile field hospitals that could be deployed anywhere, anytime.At that time no one could have predicted the COVID-19 pandemic or just how valuable these hospitals would become in the response.During the response to Covid-19 the hospitals have been deployed four separate times. None of those deployments would have been possible without the dedication and selfless service of the enlisted men & women of the Governor’s Guard.
