The Texas State Guard (State Defense Force) holds a year long program known as Young Heroes of the Guard Toy Drive, in which they collect and deliver thousands of toys to children in need throughout Texas. Recently the 2nd Brigade of the Texas State Guard provided approximately 350 toy packages each to the following hospitals
- Texas Children’s Hospital
- The Woodlands Campus
- Baylor Scott and White Hospital
- College Station
- Children’s Memorial Hospital.
During the recent 2021 holiday season the Texas State Guard collected and donated over 70,000 toys for children in need. This an incredible incredible program that the Texas State Guard runs and we’d like to thank all the soldiers involved.
Toy delivery in May! Representatives at Texas Children’s Hospital, The Woodlands Campus, Baylor Scott and White Hospital, College Station, and Children’s Memorial Hospital, Texas Medical Center, Houston, Texas, recently received more than 350 toys each in response to their requests to 2nd Brigade, Texas State Guard due to a summer toy shortage for children in their care. The Texas State Guard Young Heroes of the Guard Toy Drive continues all year to bring a smile to young patients well after the Christmas Holiday.
