Here Are the Heroes of Operation Border Health Preparedness: Texas State Guard’s 25-Year Mission

We have more photos from Operation Border Health Preparedness, which took place between July 22nd and July 26th, 2024. This significant yearly mission, in conjunction with a diverse range of health agencies and organizations, aims to provide comprehensive and cost-free medical, dental, and vision care to the residents of Texas. Launched over two decades ago, the initiative focuses on underserved and low-income communities, recognizing the critical need for accessible healthcare services. This year, the Texas State Guard deployed their medical personnel, including nurses, medics, EMTs, doctors, dentists, counselors, and psychiatrists, to multiple counties throughout Texas, including Cameron County, the City of Laredo, Hidalgo County, Starr County, and Willacy County.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Operation Border Health Preparedness, a testament to its enduring impact and importance. These Texas State Guardsmen, taking time away from their families and work, embody the spirit of service and dedication. By providing no-cost health services to the people of Texas, they have become the heroes of Operation Border Health Preparedness, ensuring that even the most underserved communities receive the care they need. Their commitment not only addresses immediate health concerns but also builds a foundation for a healthier future for all Texans.
