Two weeks ago, we launched a community poll asking you to choose the name and website for our new Historical Department — now officially titled The Center for State Defense Force History. We’re excited to share that a director has been appointed, the website is under active development, and we expect to launch it within days. Once online, we’ll begin uploading rare historical documents, photos, and other treasures that tell the story of State Defense Forces across the nation.
As our organization continues to expand, we’re now preparing to launch another key department — currently referred to as The Recruitment Department. This division will oversee the creation of a dedicated recruiting website designed to guide potential applicants to their official state recruiting portals, helping them take the next step toward serving their communities, states, and country. In addition to this new website, the department will collaborate with State Defense Forces and their associations nationwide to organize recruitment campaigns, provide outreach resources, and fund promotional efforts across digital platforms, television, and even billboards.
Before we begin this next major initiative, we want to hear from you — the community that continues to shape and strengthen our mission. What should this new department be called? And what website name would you like to see as the official home of our recruiting website?
*UPDATE* Due to some confusion with yesterday’s post, we’ve divided the poll into two parts. Poll 1 of 2 focuses on selecting the name for our new Recruitment Department. To cast your vote:
Part 2 of 2 will focus on choosing the name of the website link you believe would be the best for new comers to State Defense Forces to utilize:
We believe StateDefenseForce.com should remain focused on its core purpose — delivering the latest news, training updates, missions, and events to active members of the State Defense Forces. For this new project, we want a sleek, engaging site that introduces the concept of State Defense Forces to the public, capturing attention through visuals and offering practical information — such as whether troops are paid for drills or State Active Duty — while directing visitors to their official State Defense Force recruitment portals.
But to make this possible we need your help, if you’re not a Patreon member please join our cause, you can join for as low as $1 a month.
