40th INF DIV Commander & SGT MAJ thank State Guard for their work

The Commander of the Army National Guards 40th Infantry Division, Major General Laura Yeager, and the Divisions Command Sergeant Major Joe Derma recently visited the troops of the California State Guard (State Defense Force) and thanked them for their work assisting the National Guard.  This detachment of State Guard troops have been assisting the National Guard by providing tactical vehicle driver training as well as providing additional maintenance support to the National Guards Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS).

Maj. Gen. Laura Yeager and Command Sgt. Maj. Joe Derma made a surprise visit to the California State Guard (CSG) Soldiers conducting tactical vehicle driver’s training on JFTB, Los Alamitos. Staff Sgt. Steinbeck and 1st Sgt. Magallenes have been leading a team of CSG Soldiers that provide additional maintenance support to the Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS) in Long Beach since mid-April. Thank you for your dedication and continued service.
