During their recent drill, the soldiers of the 1st and 2nd Companies of the Governor’s Foot Guard (State Defense Force) dedicated themselves to the crucial task of ensuring mission readiness for the mobilization of the CT Department of Public Health’s Mobile Field Hospital. This drill provided an opportunity for them to engage in vital training exercises, honing their skills and enhancing their ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies. They diligently maintained the necessary equipment, recognizing the constant need for preparedness within the Foot Guard.

Soldiers of the 1st and 2nd Companies of the Governor’s Foot Guard worked to ensure Mission Readiness for mobilization of the CT Department of Public Health’s Mobile Field Hospital. Ongoing training of soldiers and maintenence of the requisite equipment for usage is a constant task in the Foot Guard. Making sure the emergency equipment including generators and a/c machines are functioning properly is all part of the job to ensure our readiness to help the residents of Connecticut when the need arises.
