For decades, The New York Guard has been an active participant in the renowned shooting competition New York The Adjutant Generals (TAG) Match, demonstrating their skill and dedication. This commitment was once again evident as the New York Guard Combat Pistol Team took part in the 44th Annual “TAG” Match at Camp Smith Training Site.

Hosted by the 53rd Troop Command, the TAG Match is more than just a competition. It symbolizes the unity and collaborative spirit of the armed forces, bringing together service members from all four branches of the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs. The event also serves as a venue for fostering camaraderie and mutual respect among its participants.
